Medicinal Plants Classification

The plants have incredible medicinal properties used in herbal medicine in order to achieve integral well-being. Modern society generally does not put much credibility in the healing power of herbal medicines, since allopathic medicines (synthetic chemical drugs) have a rapid and effective result on what it proposes: treating the effects of diseases, but not treating the cause and they do not provide an integrated healing of the human machine, for example: they treat headache, fever, malaise, diarrhea, gastritis, etc ... But they end up harming other metabolic functions due to its side effects. Here are some examples of allopathic medicines and their side effects that harm the body:

We can not be fanatical naturalists, allopathy helps many people, but we can not be fanatic allopaths if we can use the natural way of healing it is better.

The herbal medicine proposes to treat the diseases without so many side effects that so much damage the organism, because it uses natural elements that integrate in the organism providing a general balance of the body.

Modern science has become extremely materialistic. In the field of pharmacology, companies are aiming for profit. Scientists and engineers use chemical elements according to their financial worksheets to reduce the cost of production to the highest possible profitability. Patents for medicines take years to be approved, and patients can not buy medicines without a patent, because there is a policy that prevents the copy of the formulas, so that the profit is greater for the one who holds the patent. We can turn to ancient cultures that do not possess this exaggerated materialism and that teach us how to heal ourselves with plants that we can grow in our garden. Some indigenous villages hold the knowledge of healing using natural remedies with plants. In the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta - Colombia, this ancient culture was maintained for a long time among the Indians of the region, curing diseases such as Rheumatism, Gastritis, Pharyngitis and also healing problems such as bites of snakes and insects. There are some ways to obtain the remedies with plants, are some of them:

Infusion (plain tea): Pour warm (almost boiling) water over the plant material (leaves, flowers) and keep stuffy for 3 minutes or more. Method not recommended for thick materials such as stalks and seeds, for this the cooking is used.

Friction: Rub the crushed plant over the site of the disease.

Cooking: Boil thick plant material such as stalks and seeds, from the cold water and keep boiling for a few minutes.

Fumigation: Apply the steam of the plant in the region of the disease (sauna, or infusion in a container where it is possible to apply the steam in the region).
